About the Author


Tamekia Parence is a businesswoman and mom to a child that has Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI). She is an advocate and a support mom to the parents of children with OI and children with special needs, conditions, and diseases. She is the owner and founder of TAP Consulting Professionals, a small business consulting and coaching agency that helps business owners and professionals start, develop, and grow their businesses.

Tamekia was born and raised in Savannah, GA, and currently resides in the Atlanta area with her family. She is a proud alumna of Savannah State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She later received an MBA from Strayer University. Tamekia is an active member of her community. She participates with her neighborhood watch committee and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. In her spare time, she enjoys hosting events, spending quality time with family and friends, cooking, creating delicious vegan meals, writing books and poetry, traveling, and doing hair.
